SPACE

The space sector requires precision work with advanced materials for launch systems, satellites, sensors and other payloads.

Multiscan offers the space sector a unique capability to support the design, modelling, manufacturing and inspection of satellites, space structures, vehicles and their operational support infrastructure, from the smallest components to complex sub-assemblies and spacecraft.

Metrology

Multiscan can be the ideal partner for production quality verification and component certification.
Products and components manufactured for the aerospace industry are often mission-critical, accuracy and reliability are therefore crucial to their success.
Metrology-assisted manufacturing results in greater cost efficiency and shorter production cycles, and this is particularly important when using composite materials for which accurate assembly within extremely tight tolerances is crucial.

3D scanning & addictive manifacturing

Many new propulsion systems, particularly those using smaller engines, include a large number of additively manufactured parts and even fully 3D printed components.
Multiscan's expertise in 3D scanning and 3D printing supports additive manufacturing in launch systems, from the largest components down to the smallest details.
Again, efficient and fast 3D scanning not only ensures quality, but also facilitates the evolution of high-tech manufacturing processes.

Assembly assistance

Using 3D scanning and tools with tolerances down to 2 hundredths of a millimetre, we are able to assist with the assembly of components and systems.

When the alignment of components with the smallest tolerances is required, the assistance of specialised technicians who can verify the correct assembly allows for the certainty of optimum performance and according to design standards.

Post-assembly assistance

The importance of creating a unique digital copy of each assembly:
Satellite components are produced with minimal tolerances, but hand assembly results in small variations in each finished sub-assembly and in each complete component.
3D scanning allows both a metrological check for tolerances and creates a digital copy of each individual spacecraft for subsequent post-launch analysis in case of failure, comparison with future builds and product evolution.

Damage analisys

We listen to your necessities

Multiscan is always open to the requests of the most demanding customer. Thanks to 3D scanning, we are able to make the company reach standards never reached before, optimising time and costs.
Three-dimensional scanning often proves to be the most suitable solution for solving construction problems as well, since a high-precision survey allows us to work towards a solution quickly.
We are always open to comparison in order to find the most suitable solution, and it is also an incentive for us to always improve and optimise our service.

Instruments

Take a look at the instruments recommended for this sector. The wide range of instruments available will meet all your needs, with an accuracy starting from a hundredth of a millimetre and a maximum range of 50 metres.
